Events & Activities
This is the place to find out
what activities the club is
planning that will be open to the public and to also view activities
that are for club members and their families. (for Agility and
Obedience Show information please go to the specific links.)
Last year we were honored to present “Rappin with
Radcliffe”. Dr James Radcliffe, DVM gave a presentation in
June on “Treatment, Injury Prevention, and Ownership of
Working and Performance Dogs”, and again in August on
“Emergency First Aid for Dogs.”
We plan on having additional speakers and events for the public in
2010, so please check back regularly for updates.

Dog Days - July 26, 2008
Several members of the club
participated in the "Dog Days"
Seeing Eye fundraiser held July 26 at the Belpre Civitan Park. Civitan
Park was
filled with people and dogs Saturday for the fifth annual Lions Club
Dog Days Festival, which raises money to purchase seeing-eye dogs for
those who need them. Each year, the event raises enough money to
purchase a trained dog, which costs around $8,000. The members gave
demonstrations of rally, agility and obedience, collected money for
donations to help purchase a seeing-eye dog, answered questions from
interested visitors and generally had a great time.
