Welcome

Welcome to the Parkersburg Training Club website. We are an AKC sanctioned training club, run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We are located in Vienna, West Virginia, north of Parkersburg, with easy access from Marietta and Athens, Ohio.

The club offers a wide variety of training classes for agility and obedience, as well as rally and conformation, for both members and the general public. All dogs and their owners are welcome to train with us - purebred or beloved mutt. There are many activities in which all dogs and their owners can participate.

We host 4 agility trials yearly - NADAC in February, AKC in April, NADAC in June, and AKC in October as well as an annual Obedience/Rally trial in September. NADAC trials are held under the name of: Parkersburg Dog Training Club.
POTC promotes responsible dog ownership in the community by working with local groups in events such as "Walk Your Paws", and supporting a dog in the Pilot Dog Program, working with 4-H by holding clinics and providing judges for local 4-H events, etc.

This year we had 2 separate Obedience and Rally trials on Saturday, September 20, 2008 and one on Sunday,September 21, 2008. We wish to thank eveyone who participated in our trials, helping to make the weekend a huge success. A special thanks to the Obedience/Rally Trial Committee,our judges, show stewards, entrants - both human and canine, and all others who helped in any way.
